Hue city

Overview & Location

Hue city was the seat of Nguyen Dynasty emperors and the national capital from 1802 - 1945, with palaces and shrines and the Forbidden Purple City, the city is located in central Vietnam on the banks of the Perfume River, just a few km inland from the East Sea. It is about 700 km in the south of Hanoi and about 1,100 km up to the north of Ho Chi Minh City.

Hue city is a major attraction is its vast, 19th-century Citadel, surrounded by a moat and thick stone walls. It encompasses the Imperial City, with palaces and shrines and the Forbidden Purple City, once the emperor's home and a replica of the Royal Theater.

Places to visit in Hue as King palace - forbidden area (Dai Noi), the tomb of kings as Thieu Tri king, Minh Mang king, Tu Duc king and Thien Mu pagoda...

Tour interests: Hue is beautiful city and peacefully, with a lot of monument and landscapes, where you can take cyclo touring around city central or taking few our boat trip along Perfume river, can combine visiting Minh Mang tomb and Thien Mu pagoda. Others with drive car to visit more places. You can stay here at least 2 days.
